Photo policy

Where our photos come from

Every photo on a venue listing is supplied by the venue itself. We don't take photos from venues' websites or from anywhere else. Free listings have no photos.

When a venue sends us photos, it confirms that:

• it owns them, or has the photographer's permission to use them on Venues of Note, in our newsletters and on our social media
• anyone who can be identified in them has agreed to that use
• the credit it gives us for each photo is correct

We keep a record of each of these confirmations.

Credits

Every photo carries a credit, shown underneath it on the listing and included when we share it on social media. If a credit is wrong or missing, tell us and we'll correct it.

Report a photo

If you think a photo on Venues of Note has been used without permission, or shows you and you'd like it removed, email hello@venuesofnote.com with:

• a link to the listing and which photo it is
• who you are and why you're asking (for example, you took it or you appear in it)

We'll take the photo down while we look into it, normally within 2 working days of hearing from you, and let you know what happens next. Removed photos are deleted from our systems, not just hidden.
